AI is here, and while everyone has a different opinion, we should explore what AI means to the sales profession. I even mentioned in a post on LinkedIn that it reminds me of VoIP. When Yahoo Messenger came with Skype, the Telco (phone companies) lost millions of revenue. It's either they pivot or die.

Using AI tools over the last few months was revolutionary for my team and clients.

It is no secret that sales and productivity go hand in hand - the more productive you are with your selling activities, the more tremendous success you will likely have.

Yet, uncovering new strategies for increasing sales performance can be challenging while simultaneously streamlining processes wherever possible. This is where AI tools offer an amazing opportunity to boost productivity while giving B2B sales teams a leg up in their markets.

In today's newsletter, we will cover six proven Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools that can seriously revolutionise your sales game and increase efficiency levels.

So let's dive right into each one, and I will share an AI tool, mostly free, that you can easily use.

1/ Researching prospects and personas to be relevant to your target market.

Being in B2B sales for the last 25 years, I've learned that understanding your target audience is crucial for success.

One of the ways to achieve this is through researching your prospects and personas. You'll shoot in the dark with your sales efforts without knowing who your customers are, their pain points, and what motivates them.

That's why I highly recommend gathering data and insights on your target market. When you better understand your customers, you can tailor your messaging, content, and offers to be more relevant and appealing to them. This will help you attract more prospects and build stronger relationships with your existing customers. Trust me; investing in research will pay off in the long run.

Here are some questions you can ask Chat-GPT

  • What is the most crucial priority for {Job Title}?
  • How would {job title} use {your product}?
  • What are the major pain points for {Job Title}?

You can also research their companies and how they currently run the processes your company can improve. Reduce cost? Implement faster? Generate more revenue?

2/ Leverage AI-driven lead scoring to prioritise and target high-potential prospects.

As a salesperson, you always look for ways to stay on top of your game and close more deals. And what if there was a tool that could help you prioritise and target the most promising leads, allowing you to focus your efforts where they matter most? That's where AI-driven leads scoring comes in.

Imagine having a virtual assistant that can capture and summarise important points throughout the meeting, leaving you with a detailed and concise summary of the discussion.

AI can also analyse the tone and sentiment of the conversation, giving you insight into how your team members interact with each other. 4/ Improve your writing for client Emails, Introduction Emails, Follow-ups, and Social Posts.

Last year, I enrolled in a writing course as I knew how important it was to learn digital writing. I wanted to captivate readers and make my message stand out.

Now it's so easy to write better and improve your writing skills!

Effective outreach communications, follow-up messages, and social posts require more than good grammar and spelling.

You need to be creative, engaging, and persuasive. Your words should entice your audience to take action, whether emailing a key client to get your message right or emailing your team on a new sales event or webinar.

I like using Notion. Notion also has Ai capability on paid plan. But you can use Notion on its own for free. Of course there is ChatGPT and the new Google Bard.

  • Make it longer
  • Write and repurpose better versions of your emails (remember don't write angry!)

5/ Get insights on your competitors.

As a salesperson, you know that knowledge of your competitor is power.

That's why gaining insights into your competitors can make all the difference in closing a sale. By understanding their strengths and weaknesses, you can position yourself as the superior choice for potential customers. Utilise market research, social media monitoring, and even customer feedback to analyse your competition.

With this information, you can tailor your sales pitch and stand out.

Remember, Chat-GPT only have available information up to 2021. So be careful to use information as things might change.

Ask the weakness of your competitor in a specific feature or use case or application.

6/ Use AI to create impressive sales presentations that deliver results.

You know how an impressive sales presentation can help you close the deal. With the help of AI, you can take your presentations to the next level and captivate your audience like never before.

If you are like me, I hate receiving feedback on my presentation. I know right! But thank God for AI tools.

Maximising your presentation skills with AI technology involves incorporating various tools and techniques into your presentation process.
